My Wife, Patricia got me the Frankie stone last fall because I was so heartbroken when we had to put him down. I never had pets. Frankie and I bonded when I meet him, as he was 10yrs old already. We spent many hours together each day and he became “my dog” pretty quickly. The stone was a huge surprise and it looks just like him, round! And your color markings were right on! I want to put the stone on our little campground deck this summer, May to Oct, where Frankie spent his last four summer weekends. He loved being out there sitting out on his doggie bed with me. The rock will be back inside after camping season. I don’t want to tarnish the paint from rainfall and full summer sun. How should I protect it?
